I plan on sending this folder home every Wednesday. I figure Wednesdays are good days because what I don't finish over the weekend can carry over a little. In the folder the students put all of their graded weekly assessments. I am talking Math Test, Reading Test, Spelling Test, Vocabulary Test, Math Facts/Fluency Tests etc. In addition the students fill out a Think Sheet that reviews their accomplishments for that week.
They will staple the Think Sheet to their tests, place it in their OWL folder and voila! They are ready to go home and share their accomplishments with their parents! This is a quick habit to pick up, it will help open the doors of communication regarding student progress and it will help hold the students, parents AND teacher accountable for test results.
You can get this steal of a deal here...
This pack includes 2 Folder Label options as well as 2 Think Sheet options (one with AR and one without AR)
I hope that this helps you maintain/start Parent-Teacher communication as well as give you a great resource for student reflection.

I have done something similiar for years, and it has worked great. I simply call Tuesdays "Packet Day." Parents have complimented this system, and it seems to have worked well for both them as well as for myself.

This is such a great idea! With my kiddos taking more paperless assessments, it's a great way for parents to stay informed about their progress.
